Today I’m heading down to beautiful (and ghastly hot) San Antonio, Texas, to participate in LoneStarCon 3 — the 71st World Science Fiction Convention. It’s my first one, and I’m excited to be a part of it.
I’ll be blogging and Tweeting regularly from WorldCon. In addition to whatever thoughts or fun stuff I might post, I’ll be starting each day with a quick update on where I’ll be and what I’ll be doing. It’s a light schedule today, as I’m flying in during the afternoon and helping set up the Booksworn & Friends party tonight. It starts at 8 p.m. in Suite 3436 at the Marriott Rivercenter hotel. (Venue subject to change, so check in on Twitter to be sure!) Here’s the flyer for it:
Needless to say, I’m in fine company. And what’s more…there are real, edible bugs to be had. Want a book? Eat a bug! It’s that simple. (Honestly, I’d probably pay for a book rather than eat a bug for one, but that’s just me. )
