With the start of the 21st century’s second decade, I think it’s high time I joined the digerati and created a blog. Well, created a new blog. I’ve tried before, usually with some grandiose theme in mind, and it quickly became more chore than pleasure. I love it when my writing is fun; less so when it becomes too obligatory.
So I hereby resolve, for 2011, to keep up with this blog, but to abandon the pretense of theme or goal, at least for now. I’m going to blog about stuff I like, whether it’s about writing or beer or space sciences. I’m not going to try to be Writerly and Profound with each post. And ideally, I’ll have some fun stuff to share from time to time.
If all goes well, I might even have a chance to explain the URL of this blog. Stay tuned!
